Is this an official Anthropic product?
No. Quota is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. It reads the same usage data the official apps display, using your own authenticated session.
What data does Quota collect about me?
None. There is no telemetry, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no account system on my side. Your OAuth tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain on your machine and are sent to exactly one place: the provider's own API.
What happens if the provider changes their API?
Straight answer: the rings can go stale until I ship a fix. The usage endpoint Quota reads is not a publicly documented API, and I do not pretend otherwise. When something changes, the app degrades gracefully instead of breaking, and auto-update delivers the fix fast. If Quota ever stops working for good within your first 14 days, you get your money back.
Which providers are supported?
Claude plans (Pro and Max - session, weekly, and per-model limits) at launch. Support for OpenAI Codex limits is next on the roadmap.
What are the system requirements?
macOS 14 Sonoma or newer on Apple Silicon. The app is a few megabytes and uses a negligible amount of memory.
Do you guarantee my usage numbers are exact?
Quota shows what the provider's own API reports, at the refresh interval you choose. I do not guarantee the provider's numbers themselves - nobody outside the provider can.
